Art As A Voice
SJIMA invites exhibiting artists to share the stories behind their work and provide insight into their varied practices. Engage directly with works of art through these talks led by curators, conservators, educators, and invited specialists. Artists discuss the pieces featured in the exhibition and how they arrived at the ideas for the work. Some have provided background films for more understanding of the work exhibited in our galleries. While it is not like experiencing the works in person, these conversations offer us the voice of artists who are shaping the future of contemporary art.
