The following pages evidence the diverse and eclectic artwork of the artists that have made these islands their home.
"Inspired by soaring snow-capped mountains, lush glens and valleys of conifers, ancient volcanic and granite rock formations, clear emerald seas along with the cultures of indigenous peoples, visual artists have been drawn to the San Juan Islands for decades in order to exercise their creative muse in this serene and beautiful land."
The Artists’ Registry was developed by Yvonne Buijs-Mancuso, a local artist on San Juan Island. It was her mission to bring more exposure for island artists to visitors traveling to the San Juan Islands, as well as to create a pathway for the local community to become aware of the special contributions made by the islands artists’ community.
