Colorful Mandalas

Kindling Creativity Series

CLASS DESCRIPTION

In this 4 hour class, you will create and bring home with you a colorful watercolor mandala, about 8x8 in. You are welcome to use stencils, free hand or a combination of both to draw your mandala on watercolor paper, then add color using brushes, watercolor paints and pencils, and a few finishing highlights using markers and paint pens.

Instruction will be provided, and personal creative expression will be encouraged, so each colorful mandala will be unique to the person creating it. Previous experience drawing and painting with watercolors will be helpful, however this class welcomes people of all artistic abilities. Let’s gather in the light filled loft of the Islands Museum of Art to paint together and to kindle the creative spirit within. All materials will be provided.
