CLASS DESCRIPTION

In this 4 hour class, you will create and bring home with you a mixed-media portrait that is an expression of you and of what you love. You will use acrylic paints on canvas panel, along with collage papers to add layers, texture and color to your work. Then you’ll draw a portrait, free hand or using stencils, or a combination of both. You’ll add words and a few finishing touches to your work using watercolor pencils and paint pens.

Instruction will be provided, and personal creative expression will be encouraged, so each mixed-media portrait will be unique to the person creating it. Previous experience drawing and painting with acrylic paints will be helpful, however this class welcomes people of all artistic abilities.
