SJIMA at the San Juan County Fair

Join the San Juan Islands Museum of Art (SJIMA) at the San Juan County Fair, from August 16-19, as we celebrate art, community, and the joy of creative expression. Our booth will feature a silent raffle showcasing paintings by talented local artists, giving you a chance to bring home a unique piece of art.

We're proud to participate in the San Juan Island Community Foundation's 2023 County Fair Giving Campaign to raise funds for our beloved Family Art Days (FAD) program. FAD is a free art education initiative designed to bring children and adults together for hands-on art projects, fostering creativity, connection, and mentorship. With 32 Family Art Days each year, we provide free art materials and instruction to over 500 participants. However, we need your support to keep this program going strong!

Here's how you can help:

• Visit our booth at the fair to learn more about FAD and the impact of your donations.
• Donate during the four days of the County Fair (August 16-19) to be eligible for matching funds.
• Contribute in person at the SJICF fair booth, online using the SJIMA link in the SJICF 2023 Fair Grant Catalog, by phone to SJICF at 360-378-1001, or by mailing a check payable to SJICF (dated between Aug. 16–19) with "San Juan Islands Museum of Art" in the memo line to P.O. Box 1352, Friday Harbor, WA 98250.

Your generous donations will help ensure that Family Art Days remain a free, accessible, and enriching experience for children and adults in our community.
