Artist Statement:
Lime plaster tells its own story, which melds effortlessly into the non-narrative of my own subject.  It serves well my attempt to delve into the universal qualities I seek to amplify: to study the subtle nuances of a 19th century master such as James McNeill Whistler or to burst forth in the textures and colors of an immediate impression.  It is as close as I’ve ever gotten to merging my method and
