Artist Statement:
I visualized a literal interpretation to the theme, “Cracking The Surface.” Like using crackle glaze, or painting a cracked vessel. However, the Muse was not amused and the deadline loomed, so my intuitive approach to painting ensued. A deeper intelligence allowed this rare and raw piece to come forward.
