Collection of Personal Information from Site Visitors

SJIMA may collect or track (1) the e-mail addresses of visitors that communicate with SJIMA via e-mail, and (2) information knowingly provided by the visitor in online forms, registration forms, e-mail, and other online avenues (including, without limitation, demographic and personal profile data). Personal information, such as user’s name, address and contact information, may be gathered from you on a voluntary basis, at various times on the site. Users need not submit this information to use the site. When visitors perform searches within the Site, SJIMA may record information identifying the visitors or linking them to the search performed. SJIMA may also record limited information for every search request and use that information to solve technical problems with the services available directly or indirectly in connection with the Site and to calculate overall usage statistics.

SJIMA uses first party cookies (local) for analytics. No third party cookies (links to advertising or marketing networks) are used. When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
