Sunday, July 23, 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Brickworks (150 Nichols St.), SJIMA is delighted to present Breath of Life, an Art As a Voice event with artist and Kwakwaka’ wak chief, Rande Cook.  Gentle Rebel Rande Cook is an innovating force in Pacific NW Coast First Nation art.  Inspired by his family, mentors and the rich kwakwaka’wakw  culture, Cook surprises with his bold vision, insight and humor. Join SJIMA as he discusses his work and inspiration.   

This event is sponsored in conjunction with the EMERGENCE Legendary & Emerging First Nation Artists exhibition at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art.
