Moon Sitting on Water for Four Days
Dedicated to upholding the traditions of his culture through both teaching and artistic expression, Tim Paul learned his carving skills at the Arts of the Raven Gallery in Victoria and subsequently assisted Richard Hunt in the Museum’s carving program at Thunderbird Park. He became the fourth master carver at the museum in 1986. In addition to being a talented carver, Tim is a gifted graphic artist. He has released limited-edition silkscreen prints depicting various legends of Nuu-chah-nulth culture, and also paints in acrylic. No matter the medium, all of his work displays a high level of skill and originality.
