WASHINGTON STATE FERRIES
The ferry between Anacortes, WA, and San Juan Island/Friday Harbor accommodates a car or walk-on service. Either way you choose to travel, the ferry trip is a beautiful sightseeing experience on a 75-minute sail. There are multiple sailings per day and the WSF Save A Spot reservation system makes it easy to book vehicle reservations, which is recommended.

VISITOR GUIDELINES
Here are some tips to get the most out of your visit to SJIMA:

Strollers, backpacks, suitcases, camera bags, and large shopping bags can be placed in the coatroom or checked with the docent staff while you tour the exhibitions.

We ask that you do not touch the art, tempting as it may be.

Smoking is prohibited in the museum and within 25 feet of any entrance.

Illegal possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

Food and drink items are not allowed in the galleries.

Children are welcome in the galleries and we hope they have a wonderful experience; however, we require them to be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

Please silence your cell phones while in the galleries.

Please check with the staff to see if photography is permitted. The policies may change from exhibition to exhibition.

Possession of a weapon, even if legally carried, is strictly prohibited at the museum; an exception is made for law enforcement officers only.
